What I do in Light Edits:

  • correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, hyphenation, etc.

  • correct word usage

  • check specific cross-references for consistency

  • also see to the consistency of spelling, hyphenation, capitalization numerals, etc.

  • review for the correct list sequencing (and other displayed material's)

  • type-mark (mark the work with apparent corrections & suggestions)

What I Don't Do:

*everything in Medium or Heavy Editing*

  • rewriting transitions

  • rewriting heads or texts for the structure's parallelism

  • flag or rewrite ambiguous or incorrect statements
